It’s easy to reach Sutton Harbour in the heart of Plymouth and there is ample parking in the area, as well as excellent public transport links.
From the city centre, it’s an easy five minute walk: cross Royal Parade and continue across Princess Street to Notte Street. Turn left and continue on to Vauxhall Street, then turn right at Looe Street to reach the harbour.
From the M5 southbound, join the A38 Devon Expressway to Plymouth and follow signs for Sutton Harbour and the Barbican.
There is ample long-stay parking available at the Harbour Car Park: follow the brown visitor signs once you exit the A38, with payment on site by coins, card or mobile device.

Taxi pick-up points are located in The Parade, outside the Mayflower Centre in the Barbican, Madeira Road and Bretonside Bus Station.

Park and Ride services run every seven minutes in peak times from three sites around Plymouth and stop in Royal Parade in the city centre, a five minute walk from the harbour.

Coaches drop off and pick up from Phoenix Wharf at the southern end of Sutton Harbour, and coach parking is at Bretonside Bus Station in the city centre just five minutes away on foot.

Water taxis run by Mountbatten Water Taxi operate daily from the Barbican Landing Stage to Mountbatten pier, departing at quarter past and quarter to the hour.

The Marina at Sutton Harbour is to the east of Plymouth waterfront. Enter Plymouth Sound from either the Eastern or Western Channels. The marina is accessed via Sutton Lock (50º21’.98N 04º07’.96W).
