10th October 2019

The spooky season is upon us so we’d better start stashing our sweets, carving our pumpkins and planning our scary costumes. Plymouth has an exciting events calendar all year round but there are plenty of spectacularly spooky treats to enjoy this Halloween season in and around Sutton Harbour and the adjacent Barbican.

Here are five of the top Halloween events happening in Plymouth’s historic quarter which will no doubt bring all manner of creepy creatures and ghostly ghouls to the waterfront of Britain’s Ocean City.

During October half term you can explore the harbour in search for Boo’s ghostly crew. The ship was once caught in a storm and all crew members went missing, now the ghostly pirates come to Sutton Harbour every Halloween scaring locals and searching for treasure. The free trail will run from Monday 21st – Sunday 27th October. The Tourist Information Centre is open 9am-5pm Monday to Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sundays.
